We met up with Michelle & Jon for their Calgary engagement photography in Fish Creek park, on a beautiful fall day. We hung out, had a nice walk, had some laughs, a few quiet romantic moments, and captured some great moments. It was a relaxed photo shoot, and felt super easy working with such great people.
We instantly clicked with these guys when we first met up and discussed their engagement and wedding photography: Jon told us he was into coffee and photography. Those really are two of our favourite things in the whole of the universe.
Michelle & Jonathan are both beautiful, gentle souls. They both are quick to smile and have a laugh. We love that. Yoshi was a good boy too–this dude can chase leaves like nobody’s business!

Here are some tips if you are looking for a fall engagement session:
Fall is one the most popular time of year for photography sessions, so it’s important to book early. We suggest letting us know in the summer months if you would like a weekend spot in the fall season.
It’s also challenging to get that perfect fall look. Many people want trees full of yellow and orange leaves with leaves also on the ground. This can change in a single day with strong winds. If you are looking for a perfect fall day, you may need to be flexible with the time of your session, and shoot during the week. You may also miss that perfect time, but the best thing about fall is not the perfect scenic landscape, but the beautiful soft golden light.
