We love Calgary Backyard Weddings; they are always so filled with love and focused on the parts of a wedding that truly matter!
During Michelle’s vows she said something like, “I’m so happy that my soul recognized your soul.” I thought about this line a lot as we edited the photos. You can see that Michelle and Alex’s souls belong together. They are loving and intuitive people. We watched them become a family of three on the coldest April day ever with airplanes roaring above, and the laughter and tears flowing below. It was truly a genuine and beautiful celebration.
I should also mention this… Michelle is Sandra and Curtis’ sister. We photographed Sandra and Curtis’ wedding several years ago, so this was a little reunion so to speak. We saw Sandra and Curtis, two more people who radiate hope and joy and love, join together; and now being surrounded by the same people made this extra special for us. Thank you to all the family for welcoming us and for having us at the wedding! It is such an incredible honour!!!
