I am not obsessed with indoor locations, but maybe obsessed with locations in general. It is that time of year to start planning for the quickly approaching spring, summer and fall weddings of 2010.

This is more for the brides who have signed on, and can still be helpful for those who are planning a wedding or just stopping by. We have done a bunch of research into our options and would love to know any leads, ideas, or what you will prefer if you are a Francesfoto bride.

Many options for indoor locations ask for an additional payment on top of the package. Here are a few with the estimate of cost (check the website for exact fee)…

1) Calgary Tower, requires admission for each person coming up, including the photographer ($14 a head). With this location you can have a full view of the city, blow out the background so you will be floating in white light, and many other cool options, but not a ton of color. You can lay on the glass floor, or do some very cool artistic shots. And if it is just the bride, groom and us, the cost is reasonable.

2) Zoo Conservatory and grounds, it is a new addition to the zoo and is really pretty. The catch is, it is pretty expensive if you are not being married there, the cost is $350. The other thing I would remember is how long it will take walking around the zoo. It may be a better idea if you are having the party there, or you have bicycles:)

3) Lougheed House, this will give you a very old charm and elegance. The grounds and house is rather amazing. Last year the quote was $250, but I think this would be worth it if you are looking for that sophistication. Also if you pay the money, you know there is no question about being allowed to shoot there.

4) Theatre Grand, we love theater grand. For $200 the possibilities are endless. The style is contemporary, stylish, deco, I love it. Here is a sample…

We have a couple tricks up our sleeves if you want a free location (who wouldn’t want a free location, ha ha), but really consider if it matches the look of your wedding…you can always ask restaurants and hotels for potentially free locations too! We will do the research for you, of course, but would love to hear your voice, needs, tips, and preferred style of venue.

:)

Happy day!
